It was to be the land of milk and honey. I worked on the internet at the packet level. Down there, the optimism is indeed coded in.

Tim O’Leary, (turn on, tune in, drop out guy), even wrote a book that basically was like we don’t need drugs we have the internet. He wasn’t wrong to a degree.

This poem would have made a great introduction to the Werner Herzog film, Lo and Behold.

I would love for Herzog to recite the whole sequence. Everything I've written, actually. One of the sonnets uses that metaphor of drugs. It feels that way sometimes, scrolling and scrolling until you've done too much, and the brain is fried.

He is fond of poetry I think. He usually makes at least one reference to them in the films I saw.

I recently discovered he famously read some of the first AI poetry. https://lithub.com/i-am-the-only-one-who-should-recite-them-when-werner-herzog-narrates-your-ai-poetry-collection/

He knew it was AI generated when he agreed. In his latest book I think he implies he did this for people to ponder about what is the meaning of truth.

Thank you Abigail. They're not all as grim as that.
